Hogwarts, Hogwarts,
Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling,
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare
And full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff.
So teach us stuff worth knowing,
Bring back what we forgot,
Just do your best
We'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot!

Victimae paschali laudes
Immolent Christiani.
Agnus redemit oves:
Christus innocens Patri
Reconciliavit peccatores.
Mors et vita duello
Conflixere mirando:
Dux vitae mortuus,
Regnat vivus.

Dic nobis Maria,
Quid vidisti in via?
Sepulcrum Christi viventis,
Et gloriam vidi resurgentis:
Angelicos testes,
Sudarium, et vestes.

Surrexit Christus spes mea:
Praecedet suos in Galilaeam.
Scimus Christum surrexisse
A mortuis vere:
Tu nobis, victor Rex,
Miserere.
Amen. Alleluia.

Bouncing Ferret Scene

Check it out here! (** requires QuickTime **)

"We never use transfiguration as a punishment!" is one of my all-time favorite Minerva McGonagall quotes.

I added some links over to the right, including the very informative HP Lexicon Site. My favorite part of the HP Lexicon is a section called "Strictly British" which should be a big help to us coloninsts reading the books.

My Favorite Game:

The IMDB research game (I know, everyone is just bristling with excitement over this right? That's why I put it in a comment instead of a post lol)

I thought Mad eye looked familiar so I looked him up ... he plays August Nicholson, the father who loses his son at the beginning of M. Night Shymalon's The Village.
(He was also in Troy, Kingdom of Heaven, Gangs of New York, and Cold Mountain ... none of which I have seen)

(It seriously is one of my past-times, finding out who was in what ... it will bug me to no end if I am sitting in a theater going "I know I know who that is! ... it's on the tip of my brain ..." I have to look it up when I get home if i can)
